We have rented our home, received most of our shots and notice has been provided to work. We are 19 days away from embarking on our journey around the world and so caught up in wrapping things up that the excitement has not hit us yet.
Our beloved Malia will be staying at grandma's and is looking forward to her experience too. We have equipped Amy's mom with iphone technology to allow us to keep in touch with Malia via Skype/face time. Hey...even though she's the canine type she is still our child.
Because of the logistical nightmare and the cost of a safari, Amy and I decided to take out our original journey stop in Tanzania and instead fill it with a visit with friends to the Netherlands.
